WHO WE ARE.
Hixon Fitness & Athletics was founded in 2020. We opened with a simple mission during a complicated time. Make fitness accessible to everyone, and deliver result producing coaching. Hixon Fitness was founded by New Braunfels native and local resident Jake Hixon. The gym remains family owned and operated and has helped thousands of people in our community with their fitness goals since opening. The Hixon family has a 30+ year long legacy of serving the New Braunfels community through academic education, physical education, and fitness services.
JAKE HIXON
Founder and CEO of Hixon Fitness & Athletics. Jake graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Health and Fitness Management, and minored in Business Administration. Jake holds certifications as a NASM-CPT and Nutrition Coach. After coaching in the central Texas region for the first 13 years of his career, the covid-19 pandemic provided a unique opportunity to start-up his own gym. Jake has trained and managed a variety of clientele and fitness centers during his career. These experiences have shaped both his view of the fitness industry, and the culture surrounding Hixon Fitness.
KATHLEEN HIXON
Co-founder of Hixon Fitness and Licensed Massage Therapist. Kathleen specializes in reducing muscular pain and discomfort. She graduated with her LMT license from The Massage Academy in 2020 and has been actively practicing since. She is a mother to 2 beautiful boys and has been local to New Braunfels since her childhood. Kathleen spends the majority of her time as a stay-at-home mom, and currently provides her massages seperately through mobile services.
THE HIXON LEGACY
The Hixon Family has planted deep roots in New Braunfels over time. Coach Ron Hixon directed middle school athletics for Comal ISD through an impressive 30 year career. Ana (Mrs. Luna) Hixon served through education. She was also a CISD educator for 25 years of her career teaching mathematics.
The Hixon family has a history of not only serving, but bettering, our community for a combined 75 years of service. We see it as an honor to be trusted with your fitness goals and facility needs.
