What exactly comes with a membership to Hixon Fitness?
We have several different levels of access and service, but all of our members receive 24/7 access to the facility, 1 free session with a personal trainer, and a complimentary 3D body-composition scan using our Styku scanner. You will also receive exclusive access to the Hixon Fitness app which allows seamless integrations for your wearable fitness technologies, as well as integrations for your nutrition and fitness tracking apps.

Is the gym really open 24/7?
Yes.
Our facility is available exclusively to members. All day, everyday, anytime.
How do I bring a guest with me?
Members are allowed to bring guests to Hixon Fitness for a $20 fee per visit. Guest services are limited to our staffed hours.
A guest may attend with a member during our operating hours Monday through Saturday. Guest services are unavailable on Sundays.
Guests must have a member present with them at all times during their visit. We do not offer any day pass experience without a member present.

Do you offer any free trial periods before purchasing a membership?
We will extend a complimentary day pass when you book a tour of the facility. You can register your information with us using this link, and a team member will reach out to book your tour and free workout!
How old do you have to be to sign up for a membership?
All members must be 18 and older to workout at Hixon Fitness. Our facility is desinged specifically for adults seeking to manage or create a healthier lifestyle.
Children under the age of 18 are able to work with our coaches, but will not be allowed to purchase membership until they become 18.
Do I have to work with a trainer to become a member?
You do not have to work with a trainer to become a member, however our basic memberships are limited in number to ensure ample equipment and space for all members and scheduled training sessions. When we reach our capacity we start our waiting list. The fastest way to join and avoid the waiting list would be to purchase a premier membership or one of our coaching bundles to skip the line and get started immediately.

How do I get access to the door after becoming a member?
You will receive INSTANT access to the facility after joining. All new members receive an email to the Hixon Fitness App shortly after completing the sign-up process. The invitation is sent to the email used to register your account.
Once you have logged into the app, you will be able to access your digital access tag. This can be found in the top left corner of the Hixon Fitness App.
Are memberships month-to-month or a contract?
Our basic memberships are all month-to-month and non contractual. Your basic memberships may be cancelled anytime by submitting a 30 day notice of cancellation directly to the facility.
Premier Memberships, Personal Training Bundles, and Meal Plans all require an initial 90 day commitment from the customer. These agreements will roll into a month-to-month agreement that the member can cancel by submitting a 30 day notice of cancellation.
How do I get started with a personal trainer?
You can get started with a Hixon Fitness coach by submitting a consultation request with a coach using this link.
Our coaching consultations are a 55 minute appointment that will include a Styku 3D body composition scan, a clinical breakdown of the scan report, discussions on your goals, health history, and a recommendation on how best to get you to your goal.
Once we have collaborated with you on a plan that fits your lifestyle, goal, and budget, we can begin to schedule with your coach!
What does the Hixon Fitness app do?
The Hixon Fitness app offers a robust amount of features to help you dial in your fitness program with us. You can expect the following from the Hixon app;
Progress tracking - update your weight, body composition, and even add progress photos
Nutrition Tracking - track your foods using the Hixon app, or integrate your My Fitness Pal account or Fitbit account.
Wearable device integrations - track your daily activity by integrating your Apple watch, Fitbit, or Garmin device!
Programming/Meal Planning - If you are working with a coach, your program and meal plans will be accessible directly through the Hixon app!
Messaging platform - receive a direct line of communication to your coach. Send documents, texts, and anything else you’ll need to succeed.
Access your contracts and agreements, statements, payment history, sessions counts, etc.
Reserve your spot for member exclusive gym events
Do I have to be a member to use the Hixon Fitness mobile training app?
Yes. Our app is designed to enhance our membership experience and connect our clients to their coaches.
We currently do not offer any in-app services outside of our community of active members or virtual training clients.
Do I have to join the gym if I only want to work with a trainer?
No. We have a “service only” category of coaching services where customers may purchase sessions “a la carte” to work with our team. These do not include any of the membership benefits, no app access, and does not provide 24/7 gym access.
Your coach will meet you at each appointment and will let you into the gym for your workouts.
How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership or training agreement by submitting a 30 day notice of cancellation form to our team in-person at the Hixon Fitness New Braunfels location. If your last scheduled billing cycle falls within the 30 day notice window, it will be processed the day you submit your cancellation form. You will retain gym access up to the last day you have been charged for.

Does Hixon Fitness accept FSA or HSA for Personal Training?
We do accept HSA and FSA accounts! There are some steps that need to be taken together prior to using your HSA or FSA for personal training and fitness services. Our blog will provide your with all of the information and a “play-by-play” instructional on how to access these funds for your fitness goals!
